Lisa and Scott Engagement Portraits | A Moment in Time Photography
This is Lisa and her fiance, Scott. We had fun in the rain and wind creating these beautiful photographs. I met Lisa almost 5 years ago on a plane ride to the bay area (CA). We were row mates and you know how once in a great while you sit next to someone that you really hit it off with...and you have to find out as much as you can while you have the chance. Lisa was that person for me. She was so honest and hopeful. I was headed to my home town to see my father for the last time. Meeting Lisa and knowing her for 1.5 hours or so gave me so much courage and joy moving forward even though I knew I would soon be grieving my fathers passing as my travels were about honoring and celebrating my father's life. Lisa shared with me that her one wish is that she would be married on day! This gave her breathe and hope for the future.
Five year later--Lisa contacted me when she got engaged and asked me to photograph her engagement and wedding. I already knew the answer to the question but I had to ask it " was she marring the man she was dating when I first met her?"
She had just met Scott when she was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer. We met on her journey to learn about special care and treatment for her cancer. Scott has been by Lisa's side for 5 years through all of her treatments and healing. Lisa is health and more than excited to be marring her love, Scott. Amazing have a great love for one another that has already held the test of challenges and adversity.
Their wedding will be beautiful because of the person she is and the clarity she has around what is really important. The love she has for her man, family and friends is amazing! I am so happy to be a small part of this beautiful story and I look forward to a long friendship moving forward.
My heart is so filled with joy when I think of Lisa and Scott. (Lisa I hope I got it right!)
